Creating a platform for effective video content syndication
Challenge
Moshcam’s website offers access to a growing video list of live gig recordings from some of the worlds top gig venues.
Targeting an increasingly mobile audience, Moshcam engaged Deepend and Nomad to develop a mobile version of their product offering through iPhone app and iPad app as well as a revenue channel through paid mobile content.
Response
Behind a slick interface and custom video player, Deepend and Nomad developed a robust solution connecting to Moshcam’s content delivery network, CRM and a complex Akamai video streaming service.
The app also includes an iTunes purchasing solution for content purchases within the app and the ability to stream from iPad/iPhone to a TV in HD.
Result
The Moshcam app gained Apple’s coveted “Featured app” position in the app store driving valuable awareness and first week sales. Moshcam now has a new revenue channel that is integrated with Apples trusted iTunes store and users existing accounts. The app now forms a solid foundation for future growth beyond traditional music channels.
