Merivale own over 40 of the venues, bars, nightclubs, restaurants and festivals in Australia boasting well known Sydney institutions such as ‘The Establishment’, Hemmesphere, and ever popular Australian music festival, ‘Good Vibrations’. Most recently and with much media hype the Merivale group launched it’s most ambitious project to date, the ‘ivy’; a $150million restaurant and bar complex in the centre of the Sydney CBD.
Merivale were seeking to unify the entire portfolio of locations and venues through an online destination: merivale.com.au. Essential to this strategy was to reflect the opulence and attention to detail that the group delivers through its unique design and architecture of their venues.
Deepend's
technical consultants created a rich online destination which enjoys a stable, steady traffic of around 3,000 unique browsers everyday. It utilises high quality photographic and animated elements which individually reflect the opulence of each venue unifying them under the single Merivale brand.
This is coupled with an innovative navigation structure, which encourages users to explore the many different types of lifestyle venues by prominent left and right scrolling navigation.
Unlike other flash based websites, Merivale allows the use of the browser back and forward buttons. Even with JavaScript turned off, visitors to the Merivale site have access to all their information as all copy gets published to both the flash and HTML mirror sites.
A unique site in both design and navigation, representative of the opulence and attention to detail put into every Merivale venue.
Since launch the website has attracted over 3,000 unique visitors every day with an average time spent at 8.42 mins. Users are browsing an average of 9.06 venues per visit proving that users are finding the site an engaging and immersive experience.
