Online voting platform to support Nick's night of nights
 

Challenge

For over 6 years Deepend has been tasked with developing an online destination for the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards (KCA) marketing campaign.  This annual event calls on kids to go online and vote for their favourite celebrities. The aim of the site is to build momentum for the awards and encourage as much interaction as possible 

Response

Deepend developed the KidsChoice Awards Supersite which provides the avenue for Aussie kids to influence the Kids Choice Awards. The Supersite enables kids to nominate their favourite stars, vote for who they wanted to win each award, and keep up to date with the KCA travelling roadshow through pictures and videos. Each year the new KCA site translates the central theme of the award show ranging from slime to carnival. 

Result

The Kids Choice Awards are the biggest event for Nickelodeon in the year. And every year Nickelodeon aims to make it bigger and better. Interaction with the site has grown annually with the number of online votes growing significantly. Within three years online votes had more than doubled from over 600,000 in 2009 to over 1.4 million votes in 2011.
